Honoring Colorado’s New LLPs - A Step Forward for Family Law

This past Monday, we had the honor of sponsoring and attending the swearing-in ceremony for Colorado’s newest Licensed Legal Paraprofessionals (LLPs), a truly inspiring event that marked not just an individual achievement for each new LLP, but a significant milestone for family law in our state.

LLPs are a relatively new and important addition to the legal system in Colorado. They are licensed professionals who can represent clients in specific family law matters such as divorce, custody, and child support - all without the full cost of hiring an attorney. Their role bridges the gap for individuals and families who need legal help but may not be able to afford traditional legal representation.

By offering accessible, affordable, and compassionate legal support, LLPs are helping reshape how families experience the legal system - making it more inclusive, less intimidating, and focused on real-life outcomes.

At the event, we had the chance to meet and connect with an incredible group of professionals - judges, attorneys, educators, and the newly sworn-in LLPs - all of whom share a commitment to improving the divorce and family law experience for the people who need it most.

We’re proud to have sponsored the event and to support this powerful step forward in the legal profession.

To all the new LLPs: congratulations on your achievement! Your dedication and courage to step into this emerging role are already making a difference in the lives of countless families.
